To celebrate the installation of our new roof, and in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fundy, in September 2019 St Andrew's Church held its first ever Heritage Open Weekend.
The church was transformed into a museum outlining the history of Great Billing Village, the old Billing Hall, and of course of St Andrews church itself.
This history has now been captured on the five short videos below, which take you from the twelfth to the twenty-first century.
Also included are four fact sheets for you to print out at home and use as you look around the church and village. The 'Exploring The History Of Great Billing / St Andrews' sheets will guide you through a walking tour of the village and the church pointing out significant historical features. The 'Codebreaker Conundrum' and 'Thomund Trail' are children's fun sheets which bring the history of the area to life in a fun and engaging way.
